What are the best sources of documentation available to the public to learn the basics of VxWorks? I’m just starting and I find it quite hard to find guides, the best thing I found is the wrdbg docs in the sdk, which are actually not really useful since I have nothing to debug yet ;).

You could start with the VxWorks overview which is available [here](https://learning.windriver.com/wind-river-vxworks-overview/1906986/scorm/2d8eu2iwgso3). Keep in mind that some of the information refers to features like Wind River Workbench and project management tools which are not available in the publicly available SDKs.
